Jason C. Thompson

Jason C. Thompson is an assistant professor in the Department of English at the University of Wyoming. He teaches courses in rhetoric and new media, rhetoric and poetics, technical writing, composition, pedagogy, and literary theory. His research is focused on the game studies, classical rhetoric, and rhetorical theory, particularly Kenneth Burke. His co-edited collection The Game Culture Reader is currently under contract, and the special issue “Games and/as Resistance” of the journal Reconstruction: Studies in Contemporary Culture was published in Summer 2012. His work has appeared in the Rhetoric Review, JAC, and M/C Journal, as well as in the edited collections On the Blunt Edge: Technology in Composition’s History and Pedagogy (Parlor 2011) and The Computer Culture Reader (CSP 2009).
