Brendan Riley
Brendan Riley earned his PhD in English from the
University of Florida in 2004. His work explores the
intersections between composition and media
studiesparticularly film. Brendan's
dissertation, Cinema, Computers, and War, uses
an experimental critical method to ask how cinema
scholars can make use of the changes that accompany
electronic media. One of his web-texts, "A Produced
Space," appeared in Kairos: a Journal of Rhetoric,
Technology, and Pedagogy. Brendan is a faculty member
teaching Composition and New Media studies in the
English department at Columbia College Chicago.
